Our newest client, Royal Valet, was signed early last week. Royal Valet is a local valet parking company that works with area hotels during events. They came to us in need of website design and development. The majority of Royal’s events are suit and tie, so when coming up with an idea for look and feel, we have decided to use dark colors, with an emphasis on black. Black is a go to color when you think of luxury. We will also feature an over-sized photo gallery. When people are in search for a valet company, trust and look are everything. You help gain this understanding when you feature a “good” photo gallery on the site. We always try to make the galleries viewer as large as possible, people like big pictures.
The design is in the early stages of development, but we will have a link posted shortly. Stay tuned.

When asked, the majority of our clients have said, “go crazy”, when it comes to color selection for there project. Most artists love hearing this because it gives you a lot more freedom on a project. As a client you have to be careful when giving this direction because more thought has to go into the design besides just color. Colors are much more then beauty, they express emotion and feeling. Colors set the mood, it can be heavy or light. Dark colors seem to be a tread right now in logo design, I tell people to be careful because when used in the wrong manner, you can create a gloomy mood. If used in the right context, dark colors can be used to represent power, luxury, boldness, etc. The best way to avoid “bad” color selection is to start with the question; if my logo was in a foreign language, what message would I want to relate by using colors? The create a list of colors that represent this message for you.

The past design for our website was up for about two years. As I sat down and starting tossing ideas around in my head, I found myself coming back to the same question; what message do we want to give people when they look at our website. Of course there is the common answer; clean and professional. In the marketing world, it has to be much more to stand out. I decided to go with something that was more on the edgy and abstract side. Tulsa is very traditional when it comes to design, so I wanted to step outside that boundary, and really let people know there is more out there. ENJOY!
